Current AnyNet APN list

The AnyNet APNs offer different functionality. Eseye will work with you to select the most appropriate APN with the feature set required for your application.

Ensure you use the correct APN for your deployment.

All devices in a deployment should use the same APN. Not all APN options are available for every network and region.

If devices open data sessions with an APN and don't close them, the sessions automatically close after 28 days. The devices will need to re-authenticate with the APN in order to open new data sessions. With the increasing complexity of global networks and new localization options, it's best practice for devices to reconnect regularly to ensure that all intermediate network components are refreshed.

Maximum session length – when all sessions are closed. Inactivity timer – sessions are closed when they are idle for the specified period.

APN Username/Password requirements Description
eseye.com

APN username and password is mandatory (using PAP or CHAP).

Private APN only.

While you can configure usernames and passwords for each SIM, this is not recommended as it creates difficulties with manufacturing logistics.

(AnyNet default APN)

APN username and password is highly recommended (using PAP or CHAP), as the MNO expects these credentials.

APN username and password is not mandatory but can be supplied (using PAP or CHAP).

Private APN only. This is recommended for devices where the modem may remain connected with an open data session for a long period, but there is little data traffic, and the device firmware does not actively monitor the connection health.

Maximum session length: 24 hours

Inactivity timer: 1 hour

Private APN only. Enables regionalised routing where devices need low latency internet connections. For more information, see About regionalised routing.

If you are working on Verizon certification, this is the primary APN to use. For more information, see Best Practice: Eseye-specific APN management on devices.

    • QoS Class Identifier (QCI): 8

    • Target latency: 300ms

    • Desired packet loss rate: E-6 (1 in a million)

  • Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU): 1418 Bytes
