# Provisioning the AnyNet Secure SIM

## Provisioning the AnyNet Secure SIM

Eseye automatically provisions the AnyNet Secure SIM. This process downloads and programs security and identity information to the SIM.

### Monitor provisioning

Monitor provisioning progress in the [AWS IoT Device Shadow](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/iot/latest/developerguide/iot-device-shadows.html). Access the shadow with Lambda functions, programmatically, or through the AWS IoT console.

### Provisioning duration

Provisioning usually completes within five to 10 minutes. It can take up to one hour. Some modules reset up to four times during provisioning.

If the device restarts the modem regularly, file delivery can slow down. Allow the modem to register and remain registered while downloading updates.

If your AnyNet Secure SIM does not connect within 24 hours, [contact Support](mailto:support@eseye.com).

For details about the provisioned data, see [About AnyNet Secure SIM files](/anynet-sim/device-integration/about-anynet-secure-sim-files.md).

### Wait for provisioning to finish

Wait for the `+ETM: IDLE` URC before using the device to send or receive commands.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.eseye.com/anynet-sim/device-integration/provisioning-the-anynet-secure-sim.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
