# About the AnyNet Federation

The AnyNet Federation is a partnership of mobile network operators (MNOs) that have agreed to accept network traffic from each other using Eseye's [Connectivity Management Platform](/anynet-sim/connectivity/about-the-connectivity-management-platform.md) (CMP).

For example, Eseye can steer a device to use an MTN IMSI in South Africa, which will also give the device access to the Vodacom roaming profile.

Some AnyNet Federation partners offer full roaming on their network, whilst others offer access to a local profile using localisation, which enables devices to meet data sovereignty and regulatory requirements. For more information, see [Understanding localisation](/anynet-sim/how-anynet-sims-work/understanding-localisation.md).

Eseye typically uses the AnyNet Federation partners where there are commercial or regulatory issues for permanent roaming.

For information about which MNOs are part of the AnyNet Federation, see [MNOs by PoP](/anynet-sim/connectivity/mobile-network-operators-by-pop.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.eseye.com/anynet-sim/how-anynet-sims-work/about-the-anynet-federation.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
