### Mounting requirements

The Hera 204 supports direct mounting and bottom or side DIN rail mounting using an optional mounting kit.

Choose a location that:

* Is away from direct sunlight and other heat sources.
* Provides sufficient ventilation around the router.
* Is not exposed to excessive dust, liquids, or industrial exhaust.
* Is within one metre of a mains power outlet.
* Keeps cellular antennas at least one metre away from people during normal operation.
* Allows access to the router’s ports, SIM slot, and reset button.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Do not mount the Hera 204 more than two metres above the floor. A falling router could cause injury.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
The supplied antennas are not designed for outdoor use. If you use an outdoor antenna, ensure adequate lightning protection.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
Use only an Eseye-approved Limited Power Source mains adapter. It must comply with IEC/UL 60950-1 or IEC/UL 62368-1. Do not modify the power adapter.
{% endhint %}

### SIM card orientation

Insert an external SIM card in the orientation shown:

After mounting the router, see [Connect Hera 204](/hera204/get-started/connect-hera-204.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.eseye.com/hera204/physical-specifications-and-mounting.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
